Event Summary

“Tree Plantation Programme” was organized by Interact Club of Central Butwal with a motive to contribute to the global act of combat against climate change and preserve the greenery.

On 2nd October, about 10 participants of Interact Club of Central Butwal were present at Shankarnagar Community Forest, where with the help of Shankarnagar Community Forest Committee, 25 sandalwood (Shrikhanda) plants were planted. In spite of the problems like the huge number of leeches and rainy weather, everyone was fully focused on supporting the district’s mission on “each one, plant one”. Environmental protection, conservation and sanitation is one of the most important focus areas of Interact Clubs. With the same objective, this event was organized to contribute to the well-being of our surrounding.

Conclusion:

This program taught us that trees are a symbol of your commitment to the environment and the beauty of the world around you that will live on far beyond your own lifetime.
